We welcome everyone.
The Group is to be accessible for those with any or no English language skills. Measures will be taken as far as is possible to ensure that status, language ability or financial hardship do not prevent anyone being a member of the group.
We support free movement and that people should be able to live where they want.
We respect everyone's confidentiality:
We will not share any information outside the group without the knowledge of the individual.
We will keep all documentation securely. Everyone has access to their own personal information held by us.
We offer support as much as our capacity as individuals and as a group allows. We will not offer false hope.
We are independent of the Home Office, the state and local authorities.
We challenge negative stereotypes of migrants and actively oppose racism, discrimination, oppression, injustice and inequality.
We support each other based on the principles of self help and mutual aid, enjoying learning and taking action together
Everyone makes a contribution based on their time, ability & capacity.
Fundraising is an important activity of the group. We fundraise as per our funding guidelines. Find out more
We all have an equal voice and make decisions together.
We use consensus decision making where possible. We aim to ensure everyone has the knowledge and skills necessary to take part in our meetings and to make decisions as a group.
We want to share knowledge and experiences of everyone in the group. Everyone should have the opportunity to take part. We will use specific skills where necessary.
